VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) is selling Christmas ornaments to help fund gifts for this year’s Mayor’s Motorcade.

Each year the city’s fire department and mayor pass out gifts to more than 100 residents, ages 7 to 80, at Pruitt Health’s Parkwood Development Center.

Now the department is asking those in the community to purchase Christmas ornaments for $10 each to help support this good cause.

“It’s amazing to see the smiles that come on our client’s faces every year when the fire department comes, the mayor, and the gifts,” A Pruitt Health’s Parkwood Development Center employee, said. “The smallest thing that you can think of puts the biggest smiles on our client’s faces.” Butted “Our clients look forward to this every year.”

Ornaments are available for pick up at Valdosta Fire Department station one located at 106 S. Oak St Valdosta, Ga.

All proceeds will go directly to the department’s gift fund.
