LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — A vehicle went up in flames on Tuesday, May 19, afternoon following a crash at Hickory Grove and US-82.

A WALB employee saw the fire and sent video to the newsroom at about 4:15 p.m.

A van caught on fire following a collision with a Ford Bronco, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) confirmed at about 4:50 p.m.

GSP said that the Bronco was headed westbound on US-82, toward Dawson. The Bronco’s driver exited the center lane, attempting to turn left into Quail Pines subdivision, when it was struck by the eastbound van, according to GSP.

GSP said Wednesday that the van struck the passenger side of the Ford Bronco. The van then struck a road sign, according to GSP.

No injures were reported. The driver of the Bronco was cited for failure to yield, GSP said.
