CAIRO, Ga. (WCTV) - The City of Cairo officially swore in its new mayor during a Thursday meeting.

Edgar Robinson won a special election this month to secure the seat.

After being sworn in, Robinson urged unity over division and presented commissioners with matching shirts.

Robinson replaced former Mayor Booker T. Gainor, who resigned to move into the interim city manager role.
