Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — WALB recently aired a segment featuring Albany City Manager Terrell Jacobs, discussing the city’s recent vote to enter into new one-year contracts with several key Albany organizations, including the Flint RiverQuarium, the Albany Civil Rights Institute, the Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Albany Area Arts Council, Inc., and Chehaw.

During that segment, we shared a brief clip of Jacobs speaking about the city’s ongoing commitment to these facilities and the potential to bring new attractions to Albany—particularly in the downtown area—over the next four to five years.

Since that story aired, many of you have shared questions and comments on Facebook asking the city of Albany for updates on other topics including crime, homelessness, and unfinished projects.

With a new fiscal year just days away, WALB shares this in-depth interview conducted earlier this week with City Manager Terrell Jacobs addressing those concerns.
