LANCASTER, Ohio (WSYX) — An Ohio man has been arrested after attempting to meet, and impregnate, an 11-year-old girl, according to charging documents.
Lancaster Police met up with a man who leads the nonprofit Bikers Against Predators. The nonprofit creates decoy underage Facebook accounts on the internet and then cultivates suspects, who then reach out to them and request underage pornographic content and/or sexual activity.
A decoy account was allegedly contacted by Gary Lee Skinner, Jr., who resides in the 1400 block of Sheridan Dr. in Lancaster.
A decoy met up with Skinner at a nearby gas station, in which the group followed Skinner home afterward, live-streaming the interaction on Facebook.
They followed Skinner back to his apartment while asking him questions. Skinner refused to talk to the group.
The group provided documentation of their interaction with Skinner to the police, and it was clear that Mr. Skinner was the first to reach out to the decoy. Officers made contact with Skinner, and he did provide an interview.
Skinner denied being the first to make contact with the group, but admitted that he knew the decoy he was supposed to meet was 11 years old. He also admitted to findings by the group, which included his intent upon impregnating the 11-year-old that evening.
Skinner was placed under arrest and taken to the Fairfield County jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for September 19.
