ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Former President Jimmy Carter’s longtime church in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, held its first Sunday service since the death of the 39th U.S. president.
The former president and his wife, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, attended Maranatha Baptist Church for decades, and Jimmy Carter would often teach Sunday school classes there.
The church service began at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5. You can watch below:
Jimmy Carter died on Sunday, Dec. 29, at the age of 100. Rosalynn Carter died on Nov. 19, 2023, at 96.
