AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - A Sumter County church will be opening its doors to those seeking shelter from extreme weather conditions.
According to a Facebook post by the Sumter County Emergency Management Agency, Calvary Episcopal Church in Americus will be providing warm meals and blankets on the following days:
- 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11
- 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, until 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12
The church is located at 408 S. Lee Street in Americus.
