GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Malik Wallace, who was featured on Grady County’s recent “Wanted Wednesday” segment, has been captured after authorities launched a widespread search.

Wallace was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, a felony probation warrant and obstruction of an officer.

Wallace was apprehended in a coordinated effort between the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, the Thomasville Police Department and the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office. Wallace was wanted for months, law enforcement officials said.

“We are grateful to our partners at the Thomasville Police Department and Thomas County Sheriff’s Office for their quick response and unwavering support,” said a spokesperson from the Grady County Sheriff’s Office. “This operation shows the strength of our collaborative efforts and our commitment to keeping the community safe.”

Wallace is now in custody and faces multiple charges. Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate his actions. They said they are working to ensure that justice is served.
