ALBANY, Ga. (WALB)—Rain is ending this evening, and temperatures are plummeting into the night. Many areas will fall near or below freezing tonight, leading to widespread frost as a cold front slides in.

Tuesday will be bright and sunny with a few clouds. Highs for the day are in the mid- to upper 50s. Cooler-than-normal temperatures are sticking around through the middle of the week. A few high-level clouds will move in to keep highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s through Wednesday night. Thursday will mainly be dry, with temperatures approaching the 60s by Friday. No rainfall is likely until the weekend.

Rainfall will start on Saturday morning and continue into the early parts of Sunday. It could be heavy at times and reach 2″+ for many areas. Flash flooding could be possible, but we will keep you updated. High temperatures are in the low to mid-60s, with mild lows in the 40s and 50s. There will be a big cool-down heading into next week in the wake of the cold front.
