VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Valdosta announced they plan to close Azalea Drive on Monday, May 12. The closure will allow crews to repair a damaged storm pipe.

The announcement said Azalea Drive will be closed where it meets Baytree Road starting at 8 a.m. on Monday.

The city said detour signage will be in place to direct traffic around the area. They advise drivers to plan to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

The city did not say when they expect the road to reopen.
