SOUTH GEORGIA (WALB) - Moms deserve to be celebrated this Mother’s Day and every day. Here are some events in South Georgia the moms in your life are sure to enjoy.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY

• Mother’s Day and Spring Family Photoshoot
  • Photographer Annie Vanotegham is offering special mini photoshoot sessions on May 10 and May 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Mother’s Day. The sessions are 20 minutes each and proceeds go to support St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Albany. For more details, visit the event page on Facebook.
• Mother’s Day Brunch @ Canterbury Kitchen
  • The Canterbury Kitchen is hosting their first Mother’s Day Brunch on Saturday, May 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. At brunch, the restaurant will be serving a whole new menu. For more information, visit the event page on Facebook.
• Hilton’s Mother’s Day Brunch
  • The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Albany is hosting a special Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 11 from noon to 3 p.m. The brunch will also have live music and a cash bar. To join in, visit this site.
• Mother’s Day Jam, featuring Keith Sweat

LEE COUNTY

• Mother’s Day Tea Party
  • Gathering Roots Greenhouse is hosting families for high tea ahead of Mother’s Day. They have time slots listed for Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Leesburg. Event tickets include tea, sweets, a take-home kids craft, a photo op and the chance to browse various unique vendors offering Mother’s Day gifts. • Mother’s Day Mini-Market
  • For the chance to shop for something special for the moms in your life, Temp Coffee is hosting a mini-market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. They expect to have plants, books, handcrafted pottery, hair charms and more for sale.

LOWNDES COUNTY

• Build-a-Bouquet for Mother’s Day
  • The city of Valdosta is hosting a Build-a-Bouquet event downtown on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To participate, shoppers must make a minimum of a $30 purchase with participating merchants. For more details, visit the event page on Facebook.
• Mother-Son Dance
  • The Patterson in Valdosta is hosting a Mother-Son Dance on Saturday, May 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees can “show [mom] how much of a man she has raised by treating her like the queen she is.” For more details, visit the event page on Facebook.

SUMTER COUNTY

• Mother’s Day Brunch
  • Rosemary & Thyme restaurant is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 11 from 11 p.m. to 3 p.m. for $29 per person. To make a reservation, call 229-924-1555.

COFFEE COUNTY

• Downtown Douglas Mother’s Day Brunch and Fun
