Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A woman who was convicted of killing her husband following his 2014 death is now out on bond, according to Dougherty County Court records. Records also show that a trial date has been set for Dec. 1, 2025.

A $75,000 special conditions bond was granted on Monday, Aug. 25, according to court records.

Embert was previously released from jail in May 2024 after her 2019 conviction was dismissed. Then, on Aug. 14, 2025, Embert returned to jail after a Dougherty County judge ruled that her right to a speedy trial was not violated.
