The inmates are Karon Caldwell and Alan Kennedy, according to the CCSO.

Kennedy was arrested in September 2025 for aggravated assault; possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime; giving false name, address or birthdate; obstructing law enforcement; and a probation violation, according to jail bookings.

Caldwell was arrested and sentence to 10 years in jail following a 2017 aggravated assault incident, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC).

In 2017, WALB’s reporting referred to Caldwell as a “pepper spray bandit.”

The sheriff’s office said they have no reason to believe that Caldwell and Kennedy are near the jail.

CCSO said that if you see either of these individuals, you should not approach, as they may be dangerous. Instead, the sheriff’s office said you should contact 911 immediately or call 299-616-7430.

“It’s an active investigation. We have all units deployed. We have canine deployed at this time. Do not approach these subjects. We do not know if they are armed at this point. But they will be considered dangerous.”

CCSO is also offering a $1,000 reward for any information on Caldwell and Kennedy that leads to their arrests.
