TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Tifton Police Department (TPD) is investigating a stabbing incident that claimed the life of 31-year-old Darinel Noriega, of Tifton.
On Oct. 15, around 5:55 a.m. TPD responded to the 1000 block of Ferry Lake Road for a report of a person bleeding. When police arrived, they found Noriega with multiple stab wounds.
Noriega was taken to Tift Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
While conducting their investigation, detectives identified Pablo Moreno as the suspect in this stabbing death. Police believe that Noriega’s death is linked to a domestic dispute.
Officials say that Moreno is charged with:
- Felony murder
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a knife during the commission of a crime
- Burglary- 1st degree
- Five counts of cruelty to children- 3rd degree
Detectives believe that the suspect is in the Florida area.
