TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - The suspect in a deadly stabbing has been captured, according to Tifton Police (TPD).

Pablo Moreno was taken into custody in Hillsborough County, Florida, on Thursday, Oct. 16, according to TPD.

His arrest is connected to the deadly stabbing of Darinel Noriega, 31, of Tifton, on Oct. 15.

Moreno is being charged with:

• Felony murder
• Aggravated assault
• Possession of a knife during the commission of a crime
• First-degree burglary
• Five counts of third-degree cruelty to children

He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and is awaiting extradition to Tifton.

“Tifton PD is thankful for the cooperation of Florida authorities in apprehending Moreno. 

As part of the investigation, a family member of Moreno was taken into custody by Tifton PD Wednesday. Detectives believe this relative may have been involved in transporting the suspect following the crimes.“
