TONIGHT: Models are hinting at a second batch of showers to work their way through late this evening, probably around midnight. Rain coverage will be low. Cloudy with maybe a stray shower tonight will keep temperatures warm, in the low-mid 70s.

MONDAY: Widespread rain and storms arrives on Monday, which looks to be the wettest day of the week. Rain starts developing in the early afternoon and will linger through the rest of the day even into the overnight for some. Temperatures will peak near 90° due to storms initiating in the afternoon. Feels like temperatures could hit near triple-digits again.

There will be a risk for flooding, as heavy storms could drop 2″+ of rainfall, easily enough to flood roads. Besides flooding, severe storms seem unlikely, but we can’t completely rule them out. Ff they happen it will be brief. The main risks would be damaging winds and small hail.

TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY: Rain chances hold on through this timeframe. Overall, rain totals likely won’t be as significant as Monday, but likely enough to keep us wet. Scattered showers and storms will be possible each day. Best chances for rain lean west of the Flint River. Cloudy and gloomy weather brings cooler afternoon temperatures in the low 80s.

THURSDAY - END OF WEEK: Deep tropical moisture continues to bring rain chances through the end of the week, however there is some uncertainty built in. Slightly lower rain chances as a result may cause high temperatures perk up into the upper 80s. Thursday looks like the driest day of the week, but there will still be rain chances to deal with. Friday and Saturday look to be the “last act” of the wet weather pattern before drier and warmer weather returns next Sunday!
