Description
CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - The Crisp County Cougars had their first sweep of the season.
The 4-2 victory was jump-started by senior second baseman Holland Purser.
Purser led the way with his solid defense, but it was his production at the plate that made the biggest difference.
Purser hit a stellar .666 in the series. He reached base on seven out of his ten plate appearances.
The senior accounted for a third of the Cougars’ runs scored in the series and swiping two bags in the process.
Purser said he credits the extra work for his success.
This game earned Purser WALB Player of the Week!
