Description
FRIDAY PM: Low to mid 90s will stick around this afternoon with high humidity making it extra stuffy and feeling 5-7 degrees warmer than it is. The majority of South Georgia will see heat indices exceeding 100. Very few of us will see a pop up shower to briefly stop the heat.
SATURDAY: The morning will start off warm and muggy in the mid 70s and temperatures will quickly climb back towards the mid 90s. This is anticipated to be the hottest and most hazardous day of our heat stretch, so feels-like temperatures will reach near 105 and higher in isolated areas. Because of the high humidity, there will be ample opportunity for more showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
SUNDAY: Another day reaching the 90 degree mark but more showers and storms are more likely, allowing temperatures to simmer down a tad.
NEXT WEEK: A wetter pattern starts and brings temperatures near average. Later in the week, we are watching a combination of tropical moisture and a cold front which will bring heavy downpours and a threat of flash flooding for some.
