MARYLAND (WBFF) — President Donald Trump spoke about Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and called the city of Baltimore "a hellhole" during his cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

After the political rhetoric heated up over the weekend with both Trump and Moore trading barbs on social media, the president took aim at Baltimore and the governor on Monday.

During an executive order signing, Trump called the city a "deathbed" and saying that Moore "doesn't have what it takes" to clean up crime.

"Baltimore is a horrible, horrible deathbed... it's a deathbed. I know Gov. Moore said he wants to take a walk with me, he meant it in a derogatory tone, I said, 'no, I'm the President of the United States, clean up your crime and I'll walk with you.'"

Trump says he met Moore at the Army/Navy game, and that Moore told him he's "the greatest president of [his] lifetime."

"He came over to me, he hugged me, shook my hand... and every time I see him on television, he's knocking the hell out of me," Trump said on Monday.

During his cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump again referenced that meeting, saying that Moore told him he's doing "a great job."

"Gov. Moore have you heard of him? He’s another hopeful, I don’t think so," Trump said.

The president also called the city of Baltimore "a hellhole" when referencing Moore's invitation to come to Baltimore for a crime walk.

"I'm not walking in Baltimore right now, Baltimore is a hellhole," Trump said.
