VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — A Moultrie woman was the victim in a murder-suicide, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

The shooting was reported to police on Sunday, June 27. Police found two people with gunshot wounds in the 200 block of South Lee Street.

The victim, Donna Fuller,46, of Moultrie, had multiple gunshot wounds. Donna was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment and later died from her injuries.

“Our hearts break for the families and loved ones affected by this tragic act of domestic violence. Domestic violence can have devastating and irreversible consequences. No family should ever have to endure such an unimaginable loss, and we extend our deepest sympathy to everyone grieving this senseless tragedy as they face the difficult days ahead.”

The Alleged shooter Benjamin Fuller, 56, of Moultrie, was found by police with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

VPD investigators determined Donna and Benjamin were recently divorced. Benjamin was seen driving around Donna’s place of employment. Witnesses told police, Benjamin shot Donna, after she came outside to confront him.
