ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Three vehicles and five sets of keys, valued at a total of $26,350, were stolen from Peterson Tire and Auto Center sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning, according to an Albany Police Department (APD) incident report.
According to the report, the auto center’s owner, Harold Peterson, reported the stolen property Friday morning around 8:45 a.m. after discovering that his business had been entered and the property was stolen.
Peterson reported that the suspect appeared to have entered through the back door of the business, taken the keys from a dresser located at the front of the store, and rummaged through several other drawers.
The report lists the three stolen vehicles as:
- Black 2017 Honda CRV
- Silver 2013 Hyundai Sonata
- White 2018 Honda Accord EXL
Three of the five stolen sets of keys belonged to the stolen vehicles, while the other two sets belonged to a gray 2019 Hyundai Sonata and a maroon 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS.
According to the report, APD issued a BOLO for the vehicles, but none have been recovered.
No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been named. The incident is actively being investigated.
