ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The weekend features more clouds than rainfall although isolated showers are possible with an easterly breeze. Highs top mid-upper 70s low 80s which remain about 10° above the average high of 74°.
As a front slides through expect a few showers on Veterans Day but not a washout. Behind the boundary drier on Tuesday ahead of the next cold front midweek. It’ll bring more clouds than rainfall while ushering in much cooler air. Finally, fall returns with near to slightly below-average temperatures. Highs drop from the low 80s into the low 70s and lows from the mid-60s to upper 40s late week into next weekend.
In the tropics, Rafael is weakening as it spins over the southcentral Gulf. The forecast track turns sharply south moving into the Bay of Campeche with no direct impacts across the lower 48. Indirectly, Rafael will keep dangerous rip currents along the Gulf coast.
