Description
LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) launched a new program aimed at teaching teen drivers how to handle a range of situations on the road.
Major Joe Clark and Captain Todd Hormell led sessions walking teens and their parents through Georgia traffic laws, roadway markings, safe driving habits and what to expect during a traffic stop.
Mock traffic stop included in curriculum
Students also watched a mock traffic stop to see how real-life encounters with law enforcement should go.
LCSO said the program is focused on prevention, education and building trust on the road.
