Description
MONDAY PM: Heat indices have already exceeded the triple digit mark in some areas by 12pm. Everyone else is not too far behind. Heat indices can range between 105-108 for much of us this afternoon as highs will remain in the mid 90s. Rain will be scarce this afternoon/evening.
TUESDAY: We will wake up in the mid to upper 70s, so not a whole lot of cooling before we ramp back up into the mid 90s in the afternoon. Humidity is expected to climb a tad, making it for another dangerously hot day. Heat indices will reach 100-105+ again. A few showers and storms are possible in our NE counties due to a backdoor cold front in the Carolinas making its way southward. This cold front will not bring colder air but will allow us to dry out a tad to decrease the humidity levels some.
MID WEEK: Low to mid 90s in the afternoon will remain but slightly lower humidity will keep heat indices around 100 up to 105. Plenty of sunshine to go around.
LATE WEEK: Humidity increases again and mid 90s persist. Heat index values to return 100-105+ to end the work week.
WEEKEND: Slight afternoon/evening rain chances into 4th of July but it will still be very hot. Scattered showers and storms return on Sunday to help cool us off some.
