(WJAR) — The Karen Read murder trial begins a new week of testimony on Monday.

The Bristol County woman is accused of killing her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe.

Prosecutors allege she ran into her boyfriend and left him to die during a snowstorm in 2022.

The defense has floated the idea that someone else in the home led to O’Keefe’s death.

On Friday, the victim's friend Jennifer McCabe took the stand, she spent three days testifying in Read's last trial.

The judge says the jury will also be present every day this week for full days of testimony.
