ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Jimmy Carter won his fourth Grammy Award, the Recording Academy announced Sunday.

The former president was nominated for best album in the Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording category for “Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration,” a collection of Carter’s Sunday school lessons at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.

Other nominees include Dolly Parton, George Clinton and Barbra Streisand.

It was his 10th Grammy Award nomination.

The Grammy nomination made him the oldest nominee in the award’s history, according to the BBC. He is now also the oldest winner, beating Pinetop Perkins. Perkins won the Best Traditional Blues Album award in 2011, He was 97.

Carter, who died in December, previously won three Grammys in the Best Spoken Word Album category.

He wasn’t the only Georgia native up for a Grammy this year.

André 3000 is nominated for Album of the Year for New Blue Sun. Usher is nominated for Best R&B Album for Coming Home. Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, is nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album for Bando Stone & the New World. The Black Crowes are nominated for Best Rock Album for Happiness Bastards.

The telecast of the 67th annual Grammy Awards will air on Atlanta News First on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.
