Description
IRWIN COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A routine Irwin County traffic stop became a drug investigation after deputies found methamphetamine in a Recreational Vehicle (RV).
Irwin County deputies pulled over the RV on March 25, 2026. Suspecting drug use, deputies requested additional assistance from the South-Central Drug Task Force (SCDTF) and a K-9 unit from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.

SCDTF investigators said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the RV during a probable cause search. Four people were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Three of the suspects had active warrants. One suspect was also charged with giving a false name to law enforcement.
“If you’re bringing drugs into Irwin County or moving them through it — expect to be stopped.”
An Irwin County residence tied to the SCDTF investigation was also searched with a warrant. Additional methamphetamine and drug distribution-related items were found in the home, according to officials.
