HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — Three men were sentenced for fatally shooting a man after a gas station argument in Warner Robins over two years ago.

According to the Houston County District Attorney's Office, Vincent Maurice Winston, 22, and Chancellor Stephen Williams, 23, were each sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Another man, 24-year-old Shadarrius Dyone Hogan Jr., pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer, receiving a 30-year prison sentence.

Video footage revealed that in January 2023, Michael Cooper, the victim, and Hogan got into a "heated argument" at a gas station on North Davis Drive, during which Cooper displayed a handgun.

Following the altercation, Hogan reportedly left to pick up Winston and Williams, and the trio, armed, searched for Cooper.

The three men located Cooper's car and pursued it, and began firing multiple shots. Cooper was struck at least four times, with one bullet hitting his lung and heart. He later crashed his car into a utility pole while attempting to drive to a hospital.

Investigators with the Warner Robins Police Department later determined that Cooper did not fire his gun.

"This was a senseless act of violence that played out on our city streets in view of the community and cost Michael Cooper his life.," stated Houston County D.A. Eric Edwards. "After an argument, these defendants armed themselves, hunted him down, and opened fire in traffic—endangering not only their intended target but everyone on the roadway that afternoon. Houston County will not tolerate reckless gun violence."
