TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Over 400 pounds of marijuana were seized by Tifton Police (TPD) during a traffic stop on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
A release by TPD said that the traffic stop was conducted on I-75 South.
The traffic stop prompted a brief roadside investigation, where 464 pounds of marijuana were found in the vehicle’s truck.
TPD thanked Officer Jacob Stubbs and K-9 Niko for their vigilance and proactivity in the successful seizure.
“The Tifton Police Department provides, with cooperation of the public, effective and efficient protection of life, individual liberty and property of all people within the City of Tifton.”
Tifton Police says anyone can anonymously report crimes to police by texting TIFTONPD to 847411 or by downloading the TIFTON PD app.
