DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is asking the public to come forward with information that could assist with a hit-and-run investigation from June 2025.
According to GSP, their Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is still reviewing video footage to identify the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, on I-75 near mile marker 109 in Dooly County.
During the incident, a pedestrian was struck and killed while in the right lane of the interstate.
The suspect’s vehicle is possibly a semi-truck with damage to the right side headlight assembly.
GSP asks that anyone in the area at the time of the incident, a CMV driver with any video footage in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with information that could assist with the investigation, contact Troop H at 229-386-3333 and ask to speak with a member of the SCRT team.
