Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - As our high-pressure system slides east throughout the day on Tuesday, we will start to see a return of less humid northwesterly winds. This will not stop temperatures from soaring toward the upper 90s, but heat index values may be lower due to the reduction in humidity. Rain chances will also help dampen some of the heat. However, strong to severe storms with damaging winds and flooding rainfall are possible by Tuesday afternoon and evening. Lows into the night will return to the muggy 70s.

A low-pressure system in the Atlantic will move westward through the end of the workweek, resulting in elevated rainfall. Highs will be lower in the low 90s during this rainy period. However, temperatures will increase by the weekend as rain chances dip.
