ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Ground stops have been lifted for East Coast flights coming into Atlanta after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported an equipment issue at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday.
The FAA reports that the ground stops were lifted around 12:26 p.m.
At around 10:35 a.m., the FAA reported that flights from the East Coast had either been canceled or delayed due to the ground stops being called. Arrivals were temporarily slowed down due to a runway equipment issue at the airport.
The FAA has reported that, as of 1 p.m., five flights into and out of Atlanta had been canceled, and 372 flights had been delayed. Already airborne flights were actively landing, and flights took off from the airport.
