DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) — [UPDATE: May 6 at 11:30 a.m.:] Brandon Dowing was reportedly found safely by Georgia Emergency Search and Rescue, officials said.
Dowing was reported missing Tuesday, May 5, and local law enforcement agencies were asking for the public’s assistance with locating him.
WALB is working to learn more about exactly when and where Dowing was located.
[ORIGINAL ARTICLE:] According to the Dawson Police Department (DPD), Brandon Dowing is currently missing and is reported to have Schizophrenia. Officials said Dowing is in his early 20s.
DPD said on Tuesday, May 5 that Dowing was last seen at the Aspire Center in Dawson. It was also reported that Dowing was last seen walking east on Highway 20.

Dowing is described as a:
- White male
- 5′11 in height
- 150lbs- 160lbs in weight
Officials reported that Dowing was last seen wearing a grey shirt, grey shorts and black sneakers.
DPD advises the public that Dowing may be disoriented and in need of assistance. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts or who sees Dowing is asked to contact DPD at (229) 995-4417, Terrell County Sheriff’s Department at (229) 995-4488 or 911.
