ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Albany State University’s Marching Rams Alumni Association announced on Facebook that a former director of bands died March 10.
The Alumni Association said in the Facebook post that Dr. Michael Decuir, “contributed significantly to the university’s mission of academic excellence and community impact.”
They said Decuir left a mark on the Marching Rams Show Band, Albany State and the community as a whole. He was 70 years old.
“Dr. Decuir’s legacy will be remembered by family, colleagues, students, and friends alike. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
