SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The South West Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office recently concluded the trail in State vs Kenyatta Harvey.
On Friday, Feb. 7, a jury gathered at the Sumter County Courthouse to convict Kenyatta Harvey.
The jury returned a verdict of guilty on charges of murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and armed robbery.
These charges are all related to the January 3, 2021 killing of Sammie White.
Harvey was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
This case was prosecuted by Senior ADA Cania Brown-Gordon and ADA Trevor Vanzant with the assistance of GBI Region 3, DA Investigators Stephen Douglas and Ossie Evans, and Victim Advocate Tiffany Tatum.
