AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) — The search continues for 10 people still missing since Wednesday, after catastrophic flooding in Northwest Travis County also left seven people dead.
"I was woken up by loud bangs and a watery sound up against my back wall," J.J. Jarmon, who lives near Big Sandy Creek, said. "I had a great number of boats in my yard, and they weren't there, so I already knew that the water had taken them down the stream."
Jarmon says rising flood waters swept him and his entire family away.
"All of a sudden, I'm standing there and the floor drops right out of the bottom of the house," Jarmon said. "My son just disappeared, and immediately after that, my daughter went in."
He was able to climb to safety, but his wife, Alissa, and 15-year-old son Braxton are confirmed dead. His 16-year-old daughter Felicity is still missing.
"I've managed the past few days, since this has happened by the support of my friends, my great friends," Jarmon said.

Thanks to a viral TikTok video, more than 2,500 volunteers have come to his community of Wind Haven. Auburn Gallagher shared that video during a supply run for her neighborhood.
"Next thing I know, I got all kinds of people showing up. I got equipment. I got a chainsaw. Hey, I got cases of water. May I have food?" Gallagher said. "We're kind of a different breed out here, we take care of our own, right? So for others to come help us, it means the world to us."
Volunteers are working to clear out limbs and even cars so search and rescue teams can search for Felicity and nine others who are still missing.

"We have volunteers from San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Plano," Gallagher said. "I've got some people here from Louisiana."
Travis County Spokesperson Hector Nieto says the Texas Department of Emergency Management arrived Tuesday to help with the search.
"We know that families are hurting and would love to hear more about their loved ones," Nieto said. "We're working tirelessly to make certain we're getting information to them as quickly as possible."
Jarmon says he isn't happy with the county's response.
"That's what it's all about is closure," Jarmon said. "But at the same time, I do have questions."

What leaves him speechless is the response from his community.
"I am so overwhelmed," Jarmon said. "I appreciate everybody out here doing things for me and and not only me, there's more people lost in this stuff." [[8:15]]
Travis County said a burn ban remains in effect to prevent the dangers of burning debris piles. They'll also be rolling out a multi-phased approach alongside T.D.E.M. to repair the Sandy Creek bridge.
