NASHVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - A Nashville man who was charged for murdering and assaulting someone in 2021 was found guilty by a jury on July 8, 2025, according to the Nashville Police Department (NPD). The killing occurred on July 24, 2021 – nearly four years ago.

Jared Zisman was found guilty of malice murder, felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault, NPD said. The trial began on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Zisman’s sentencing will be held at a later date, according to the police department.

According to WALB’s previous coverage, all of Zisman’s three victims lived in the same residence as Zisman. Police did not confirm whether or not the victims were related to Zisman at the time of the incident.

According to NPD’s most recent release, Zisman was called 911 and reported that “he killed his family with a baseball bat.”

One of the three victims died from his injuries, police said. Another was severely injured but has since recovered. The third was also inside the home during the incident and sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to NPD.
