CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The city of Cordele announced a new homeownership opportunity.
Square Foot Ministry is seeking qualified applicants for an upcoming homeownership project. Applicants are being accepted until July 6 for a new 3-bedroom, two-bathroom home.
The home will be built in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and supporters.
What are the qualifications?
To qualify as an applicant, you must,
- Be a first-time homebuyer
- Not currently in bankruptcy or filed for bankruptcy in the last four years
- Contribute at least 200 hours of work toward the construction of the home
- Make an $800 initial down payment
- Be currently employed full-time with the same company for three years or have a good job history
- Have a minimum salary for a family of 3 of $40,000
- Have a minimum salary for a family of 4 of $40,000
- Have a minimum salary for a family of 5 of $50,000
- Have a minimum salary for a family of 6 of $60,000
