Description
TUEDAY PM: Lunchtime feels-like temperatures already exceeding the triple digits for much of South Georgia. Heat indices of 103-108 possible throughout today. Heat advisories are in effect until 8pm this evening. A back door cold front is pushing through which can help trigger isolated showers and possibly a strong storm this afternoon towards our southern and western counties. The cold front is weak and will not bring us cooler air but it will slightly lower humidity values to help make the feels-like temperatures drop a few degrees.
MIDWEEK: Morning lows will drop a tad in the middle 70s. As high pressure continues to dominate, slightly drier air enters in to make rain chances next to none. Highs will remain in the low to mid 90s and heat indices will decrease some in the upper 90s up to 102.
LATE WEEK: Moisture will funnel back in to increase feels-like temperatures again. Sunny skies to end the work week but an isolated shower cannot be ruled out. Heat indices will climb back over 100.
WEEKEND: July 4th will be very hot with heat indices climbing near 105. A few showers and storms are possible in the afternoon to help cool some off. Sunday will be a better chance for growing rain chances and temperatures will drop in the low 90s.
NEXT WEEK: Afternoon rain chances will increase to keep temperatures down back to below average.
