COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A 29-year-old employee of an adult health facility has been charged after allegedly assaulting her supervisor in front of children on August 17.
According to a Douglas Police Department report, officers were called to the Azalea House on North Chester Avenue around 5 p.m. after a supervisor reported being attacked. The supervisor told police the employee, identified as Savannah Manning of Douglas, became irate after being told she could not leave work early.
Police say Manning shoved open a door, knocking down one of the supervisor’s children, before slapping the supervisor in the face. The incident was captured on video, corroborating the victim’s account.
Douglas Now reports that Manning was arrested and charged with battery and cruelty to children in the third degree.
She was booked into the Coffee County Jail and later released.
