DONALSONVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - Happening April 5, the Donalsonville community is coming together to raise money for a 3-year-old who’s battling B-cell leukemia.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, Georgia Old School Championship Wrestling will host six professional wrestling matches.

Event organizers said 100% of proceeds will go to the family of 3-year-old Briar Lee Jones.

The Jones family travels back and forth to Atlanta for treatments often, which is why organizers said they’re hosting this fundraiser — to help alleviate some of the financial burden.

“You know, having a 3-year-old child that’s facing this kind of disease, we just want to do our part and try to help them as much as we can,” Hollis Smith with Georgia Old School Championship Wrestling said. “Any sponsors or anybody that wants to come have a family gathering for a very great cause, we’re welcoming everyone out to join us.”

The event will be held at the Seminole County Elementary School Gymnasium. Tickets are $12 each, children five and under get in free. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is at 7 p.m.
