BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WCTV) - The City of Bainbridge announced road closures began on Monday as water lines and a manhole are installed in the area.
Wheat Avenue from Water Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is closed and will “be accessible to local residents only during the day and reopened completely in the evening,” according to the city.
The city said the construction is expected to take about 10 days.
The construction is part of the Wheat Avenue Storm Water Improvement Project, which includes the installation of about 2,800 feet of storm drainage pipes, among other improvements.
