Former Seattle Seahawk Richard Sherman said his home was robbed at gunpoint while his family was inside over the weekend.
Sherman posted a video on X Monday morning showing three people breaking into his home through a window, and two photos of the masked individuals inside the home. The three people seen in the photos and video appear to be armed with pistols.

“House being robbed at gunpoint with my family in it isn’t what anyone wants for a birthday gift,” Sherman tweeted. “Scary situation that my Wife handled masterfully and kept my kids safe. If anyone has any info that can help find these people please reach out.”
Sherman responded to one person on X saying the group “went through the back yard and neighbors fence.”
The break-in and reported robbery happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the timestamps seen on the surveillance images Sherman shared on social media. A spokesperson for the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KOMO News Monday morning deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary call just after midnight on Sunday.
Another person who said they live in Covington responded to Sherman’s tweet saying he was “pretty sure these same guys hit our neighborhood, stole one car.” Sherman responded and thanked him for sharing the information, adding that responding officers said investigators believed the group hit five other homes in the area.
The sheriff’s office said the incident “remains an open and active investigation,” adding that there have been no arrests made, and no suspects had been identified.
While his family was inside the home at the time, Sherman said he was thankful his family wasn’t harmed during the incident.
No other information is available at this time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the King County Sheriff's Office.
