ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - One person has been taken to Phoebe Putney following a wreck on N. Westover Boulevard that temporarily shut down part of the road.
According to the Albany Police Department (APD), the Traffic Unit responded to a motor vehicle wreck at the intersection of Meredyth Drive and N. Westover Boulevard.
During the investigation, investigators found that a silver Lexus was headed southbound on N. Westover Boulevard when it made a left turn in front of a dump truck headed north on the same road. Both vehicles collided.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. It is unclear how serious the injuries were.
The investigation is still ongoing.
