THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - An Albany man was seriously injured in a hit and run in Thomas County on Saturday, Jan. 4.
At around 7:38 p.m., a Nissan was headed north and the man was walking north on State Route 300 near Mile Marker 16 in the outside lane, according to Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
The vehicle hit the pedestrian with its front. After the impact, the Nissan continued driving north, leaving the scene.
The pedestrian came to a final rest in the middle of the northbound lanes on the highway.
The model and year of the Nissan are unknown, according to GSP.
The man was seriously injured and taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital for treatment.
