ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The chase for the massive $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot ended Saturday night with two players - one from Missouri and the other from Texas.
However, Georgia was able to have plenty of ticketholders take home some earnings, as well.
The Georgia Lottery said 16 tickets were sold that ended up being worth thousands of dollars. Out that number, four of those tickets were able to match four of the five white numbers and the red PowerPlay number, winning $100,000.
Saturday night’s winning numbers were 11-23-44-61-62, and the PowerPlay number was 17.
The other 12 ticketholders won $50,000 after they were only able to match four of the five white numbers.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days to claim their prize.
This prize, according to the Associated Press, was the second-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history.
