LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) - The owner of the Ace Hardware at Oakland is asking the public for help in identifying two suspects caught on the store’s surveillance system taking leaf blowers.
Owner Joe Sheffield said the burglary took place Tuesday night. According to Sheffield, the suspects took three Stihl leaf blowers worth a total of $2,000. No arrests have been made, but authorities are still taking tips and reviewing surveillance footage.
“I was not expecting this to happen,” Sheffield said. “It takes a lot of work to get this stuff up and going. It’s frustrating to have this happen to you.”
The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a van.
If you have any information that could help investigators make an arrest, you are encouraged to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 759-6012.
