ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Tuesday, Jan. 6, the Albany Police Department (APD) put faces to the names of Albany’s 2025 homicide victims. They are asking the public to share information that could bring justice to 10 families who are still waiting for their loved one’s case to be solved.
According to APD, there were 23 homicides recorded in Albany in 2025. That’s compared to 16 in 2024. At least half of those homicides occurred in East Albany. Of the 23 cases, 13 have been cleared— a 56.5% clearance rate according to APD. 10 cases remain unsolved.
Victim: Jesus Arango, 56

400 block of Lipsey Drive
Neighbors told police Jesus Arango was the landlord of the small apartment complex on Lipsey Drive where he was found dead Feb. 9, 2025. Residents say Arango was in an argument with an unknown person days before the shooting.
Victim: Justin Moore, 22

1900 block of Radium Springs Road
According to APD, Justin Moore, 22, and Eugene Ward, 32, were traveling on Radium Springs Road when unidentified suspects fired multiple shots into their vehicle on March 5, 2025. Moore died from his injuries.
Victim: Rasheed Moore, 24
100 block of North Mock Road
According to APD, the shooting happened at Spotless Nightclub, located at 107 North Mock Road, on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at around 4:45 a.m. When officers arrived, they were told that the victim, Rasheed Moore, 24, was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He later died from his injuries.
Victim: Malcolm Davis, 36

West Broad Avenue & Front Street
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2025, near the intersection of Broad Avenue and Front Street, across from Turtle Grove Park. APD said two male victims were inside a vehicle when another vehicle pulled alongside and opened fire. The suspect’s vehicle reportedly fled the area immediately after the shooting. Malcolm Davis died from his injuries, while another man was injured and taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Victim: Johnthan Wimbish, 29

1400 block of East Residence Avenue
APD officers responded to reports of gunshots around 3:13 a.m. in the 1400 block of East Residence Avenue on Nov. 7, 2025. When officers arrived, they found Johnthan Wimbish lying unresponsive in the roadway. Investigators say he had been shot and passed from his injuries at the scene.
Victim: John Doe (Unidentified), age unknown
2800 block of Rosebrier Avenue
No photo is available. A body was discovered in the 2800 block of Rosebrier Avenue, according to officials. WALB previously reported that the body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab for identification and to determine the cause and manner of death.
Victim: Jabion Jackson, 19

300 block of Carriage Lane
Around 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, officers were called to the 300 block of Carriage Lane. When officers arrived, Jabion Jackson was outside with a gunshot wound. He died from his injuries, police say.
Victim: Allen Plummer, 41

1100 block of West Waddell Avenue
Police reports stated that Allen Plummer was found unconscious and lodged under a Range Rover after gunshots were reported on West Waddell Avenue on Dec. 8, 2025. Plummer was seeking shelter from gunfire behind the Range Rover when a suspect began shooting at the driver and passenger inside the vehicle. Two other people were shot in the incident.
Victim: Sadarius Lewis, 38

2700 block of Joshua Street
On Wednesday Dec. 17, 2025, Sadarius Lewis was found in the trunk of a white Hyundai Tucson in the alleyway east of the 2700 block of Joshua Street, officials confirmed.
Victim: Jazian Harris, 17
1700 block of West Broad Avenue
No photo is available, APD said. On Dec. 23, 2025, at around 11:48 p.m., police responded to the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male deceased at the scene, later identified as Jazian Harris. In addition, four other juveniles suffered gunshot wounds ranging from the ages of 15 to 17 years old.
Victim: Lovontray Mikal Sims, 31

500 block of Swift Street
Police were called to Bethel Apartment around 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2025. Two men were found outside of the apartment complex with gunshot wounds. APD confirmed that Lovontray Mikal Sims (31) died from his injuries, and another man had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
