ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Family and friends gathered Saturday to remember Tamirah Dix, the 40-year-old woman who recently died after a ziplining accident in Puerto Rico.
Dix was on vacation in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, when she suffered an accident of some kind during a ziplining excursion on March 28.
Although she initially appeared OK and continued her day, she later suffered seizures in her sleep. She was pronounced dead while being taken to a hospital.
Dix’s loved ones are now trying to bring her home and have started a GoFundMe to help with a service.
