ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Vice President JD Vance will be in metro Atlanta on Thursday, touting President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill” in Peachtree City.

Vance’s office has not provided any other details about the visit, including his arrival time or the exact location, but said he will discuss “the historic tax cuts it delivered for working class American families.”

It comes as five Democratic candidates for Georgia’s 2026 governor’s race continue criticizing the bill for what they say are cuts to vital social programs. The bill is also a focus of Georgia’s nationally watched U.S. Senate race, in which Democrat Jon Ossoff - a critic of the bill - will face a GOP challenge for his seat in 2026.

Vance is visiting the 3rd congressional district, which is currently represented by freshman U.S. Rep. Brian Jack, whose hometown is Peachtree City.
